OUR STORY · 부산집

From our alley,
to your table.

A family story. A Korean table.
A welcome that keeps growing.

BUSANJIB began in 1978 with our grandmother’s seafood stew restaurant, in the same Myeongdong alley where we welcome guests today.

When our mother took over, Muslim guests became familiar faces. A prayer room followed — a small gesture of care that became part of who we are.

Our table has since grown to include Korean chicken, charcoal barbecue and halal-certified restaurants. Today, that experience also guides the halal Korean food products we develop for tables beyond Seoul.

FAITH, FOOD & COMMUNITY

Making room.
Giving back.

Room for prayer in the heart of Myeongdong

Myeongdong is one of Seoul’s busiest destinations. In a neighborhood where space is precious, we chose to make room for prayer. Muslim guests should be able to enjoy Korean food and keep their daily prayers close, even while traveling. Their support has made this care an enduring part of BUSANJIB.

Growing with our community

We regularly donate a portion of our profits to Seoul Central Mosque and support Muslim international students and mosques. Giving back is part of how we run BUSANJIB, alongside the food we serve and the spaces we share.

We pursue halal certification and develop Korean food products with a wider purpose: helping Korea’s halal food market mature. Through our restaurants, products and community support, we want more people to experience Korean food with confidence.

A NOTE FROM BUSANJIB

Bringing the warmth of the alley
to your table.

The aroma of bubbling stews once drew people into our narrow alleyway; now, Busan Jib has found its way into your own precious space.

Thank you for trusting and choosing the taste of Busan Jib. We hope this becomes a delightful memory in your daily life.
